MONTICELLO -- Late night travelers who use Interstate 94 will encounter lane closures in Monticello starting tonight.

MnDOT crews are starting a $17.2-million project that will rebuild all lanes, add an auxiliary lane to westbound I-94 and reconfigure ramps in the area.

The work is along a two mile stretch of I-94 between County Road 18 and Highway 25.

Traffic will be reduced to a single lane in each direction during non-rush hours seven days a week. The project is expected to be completed in November.
