News @ Noon: Police Urge You to Sign Up Now for National Night Out

ST. CLOUD - The 32nd annual "National Night Out" is coming up. It will be held on Tuesday, August 4th. John Justin is the Crime Prevention Specialist with the St. Cloud Police Department. He says now is the time to register your neighborhood party with your local police department.

St. Cloud residents can either call Justin at 345-4182, or register online on the city's website.

Justin says St. Cloud police officers and firefighters typically visit between 50 and 70 gatherings each year on National Night Out.  He says it's a great night to get to know your neighbors.

From 6:00 until 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 4th residents are asked to lock their doors, turn on outside lights, and spend the evening with neighbors.
