Minnesota House Panel Talks $15M For Pothole Repair
ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - A Minnesota House transportation panel is weighing whether to devote $15 million to repair potholes and other damage to roads from this tough winter.
The state highway fund would supply $10 million for highway work, with $5 million from the general fund for county and city roads.
Rep. Frank Hornstein, a Minneapolis Democrat, said the money would be welcome relief for motorists.
Barb Yarusso, a Shoreview Democrat, compared driving to work this winter to an amusement ride because of all the potholes that need dodging.
