MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Minnesota FoodShare says its 30th annual campaign was another record-setter.

Minnesota FoodShare raised almost $8.5 million in monetary donations and more than 4.4 million pounds of food in March.

Organizers say the food collected - combined with the buying power of the donations - means more than 38 million pounds of food will be distributed by local food shelves statewide.

Minnesota FoodShare says its March campaign is the largest food drive in the state and restocks 300 food shelves across Minnesota.
