ST. CLOUD -- Several area movie theaters are honoring Prince by showing him on the big screen.

Thirty-two years after its release, Prince's "Purple Rain" is back in theaters following the musician's death.

Marcus Parkwook Cinema in Waite Park announced it will show the 1984 movie beginning tonight (Saturday) at 7:00 p.m., 9:30 p.m. and 12:00 a.m.

Showtimes for Sunday-Thursday are at 7:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.

AMC Theatres also announced yesterday (Friday) that 87 of its U.S. theaters will play Prince's film beginning today (Saturday) and running through Thursday.

The film was an unlikely box office hit when it was first released, grossing $68.4 million. Its soundtrack went on to sell more than 25 million copies.

Prince was found dead Thursday at his suburban Minneapolis compound at age 57.
