Man Charged With Assault, Terroristic Threats
ST. CLOUD -- A St. Cloud man has been charged with eight felonies after a domestic dispute in front of the victim's children Sunday night.
Court records show 36-year-old Luke Emslander and his girlfriend had been arguing at a Lynden Township home near Clearwater. The argument escalated and Emslander is accused of pointing a "BB Gun" at his girlfriend, demanding her phone and her ring.
According to the criminal complaint, his father ultimately took the gun away.
Emslander is also accused of kicking at the woman, but did not make contact with her. The woman left with Emslander's mom and later returned. He then told her and the children they had to leave.
The defendant then allegedly told her to stop and began waving a knife around, hitting the victim in the shoulder causing a small cut.
Emslander then left the scene and his mom called police. He returned to the home and was arrested.
He's charged with three counts of second degree assault with a dangerous weapon and five counts of terroristic threats.
