Man Arrested After Fleeing Police During Traffic Stop

ST. CLOUD - A man is in jail from running from police after being pulled over.

Officers stopped 43 year old Sean Omalley of Waite Park in the 400 block of East St. Germain Street at about 10:50 a.m. on Friday.

During the stop, Omalley fled on foot. Due to the proximity of the stop to the St. Katherine Drexel School, the building was placed in containment for a short amount of time.

Omalley was later found near the 7th Avenue and Highway 23 and taken into custody.

Officers do not know why Omalley fled. He is expected to be charged with several misdemeanors.
