ST. CLOUD -- Downtown St. Cloud will again play host to the Granite City Days parade.

Mayor Dave Kleis says they were able to move the parade from the north side of town back to St. Germain Street because the downtown construction has ended.

The parade route will start near the VFW and Wendy's and head east before turning left onto 6th Avenue.  The parade will then end at Hester Park. Kleis says this route will help the marching bands too because it only involves one turn along the route.

The Granite City Days 5k Run will also use part of the parade route. The run will start and end at the St. Cloud Public Library.

The parade will start at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 29th.  The 5k run takes place prior to the parade.
