SCPD COP HOUSE 4TH ANNUAL SOCCER CAMP IS HAPPENING SOON

Sargeant Ryan Sayre joined me to discuss the successful COP House Soccer Camp program with approximately 180 kids in attendance for last year's event. This year, it will be the 4th annual event, and they are expecting it to be their biggest event thus far.

HUSKY STADIUM

The St. Cloud COP House Soccer Camp will be held at St. Cloud State University's Husky Stadium this year, so kids will be able to feel like pro players under the big lights on the turf field.

REGISTER NOW

The event will be taking place Tuesday, June 4th through Friday, June 7th from 1 to 4 pm in the afternoon, and although the event is free for kids to join, registration is required. Click HERE now to register for this exciting event.

NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Kids need NO experience. Sargent Sayre said that the police officers have a great time playing right alongside, or sometimes against the kids, and what makes the event extra special is the SCSU Soccer team players are the ones teaching the kids how to play soccer. Playing with real soccer players gives the kids a chance to see themselves playing soccer, and gives them an up close and personal chance to meet and interact with real soccer players from SCSU.

OPEN TO ALL KIDS IN CENTRAL MINNESOTA

The COP House soccer camp is open to all kids in central Minnesota, not just St. Cloud, and is for ages 6 to 14. I asked Sargeant Sayre if any type of equipment was required. He told me that if your children have cleats, to have your kids bring them; but if your kids do not have them, and cannot afford them, there are events where you can get free cleats around the area as well; If your child doesn't have cleats, just have them wear their tennis shoes.

LIGHT SNACKS AND BEVERAGES PROVIDED

The kids will be served some light snacks and water/Gatorade during the event, and if they should be rained out, will make plans to do other fun activities inside.

'There aren't many free camps around these days, but this camp is not just for kids in St. Cloud, but for any kids that are interested in central Minnesota, and it is FREE," said Sargeant Sayre.

LOOK: 35 Vintage Cereals That Perfectly Captured Pop Culture Moments

Movies and TV shows have always found ways to partner with cereal companies as part of their promotion strategy. While some may have come up with a giveaway in boxes, others went big by having their own cereal connected to the movie or TV show title. Here are vintage cereals that were used to promote some of pop culture's biggest moments (and some you probably forgot about).
