Freeport Boy Hurt In Farm Accident

FREEPORT - A 10-year-old boy is in critical condition after a farm accident near Freeport.

The Stearns County Sheriff's Department says the incident happened at about 5:20 p.m. yesterday (Monday) in Millwood Township, just north of Freeport.

The boy was helping with chores when he got trapped in an auger.

He was taken by Life Link Helicopter to St. Cloud Hospital, then transferred to Hennepin County Medical Center.
