
Four Hurt in Highway 169 Crash in Elk River
ELK RIVER -- Four people were hurt in a rear-end crash on Highway 169 in Elk River.
The Minnesota State Patrol says the incident happened at the intersection of Highway 169 and Main Street shortly after 8:00 a.m. Friday.
A van driven by 27-year-old Sheldon Warbonnett from Onamia rear-ended a car that was stopped at a red light heading north on Highway 169.
The car was driven by 75-year-old Duane Peterson from Robbinsdale. In turn, an SUV driven by 53-year-old Kefeng Gu of Maple Grove rear-ended the van.
Warbonnett and his two passengers, 29-year-old Angela Hansen from Duluth and 30-year-old Victor Nayquonabe from Onamia were hurt in the crash. Peterson was also hurt in the crash. All four were taken to Mercy Hospital.
