ST. PAUL  (AP) -- Minnesota's unemployment rate held steady at 6.7 percent in February.

Figures released by the state Department of Employment and Economic Development Thursday show Minnesota employers added 1,300 jobs in February. The department also revised figures for January, which now shows a gain of 2,900 jobs.

Minnesota's job growth rate of 0.8 percent over the past year is slightly lower than the national growth rate of 1 percent.

DEED Commissioner Mark Phillips says the "recovery is progressing," but the state is still "seeing mixed results in the labor market."

The state's jobless rate in January was also 6.7 percent, the lowest point since December 2008.
