Family Searches Riverside Park for Missing Annandale Teen [VIDEO]
ST. CLOUD -- The family of missing 17-year-old Aaliyah Kazimer continued their search for the missing Annandale teen Tuesday at Riverside Park in St. Cloud.
Kazimer's uncle Jeremy King says volunteers are doing ground and water searches.
"We have teams combing the woods along the shoreline, we have teams and kayaks going from island to island, getting off and looking around the island, teams on flat bottom boats."
St. Cloud Police Sergeant Jason Burke says the investigation is active and on-going and they continue to follow up on any leads regarding her location and disappearance.
Kazimer was last seen at about 8:30 p.m. Saturday in the Riverside Park parking lot. Her car was found by family members Sunday night at the park. Bloodhounds tracked her scent to an area south of the parking lot, about a half mile away near the edge of the river.
King says they had about 120 volunteers come out Monday, he says they still need more people to help with the search efforts.
"We will put you to work, whether it will be walking along the bank of the rive. We're really looking for people who have boats and kayaks who are water safe, especially those flat bottom boats that they use on the river, those would be really helpful right now."
If you would like to volunteer, King says be sure to wear water resistant clothes and comfortable, closed toe shoes. You can stop by the Riverside Park pavilion for more volunteer information.
Kazimer is described as a Asian girl about five-feet tall, 120 lbs. She was last seen wearing a black button up shirt and dark colored running shorts.
