Explosion Destroys Building On Villard Pig Farm

VILLARD -- A storage shed exploded in western Stearns County last (Tuesday) evening.

Officials were called to the Paul Fiedler Pig Farms near Villard in Ashley Township just after 5:30 p.m.

No people or pigs were hurt, but the shed was completely destroyed and several other pig barns were damaged from the explosion.

The Sauk Centre, Melrose and Villard fire departments responded to the scene.

The explosion remains under investigation.
