Expected Cold Temps Won’t Stop the Barnelopet [AUDIO]
ST. CLOUD - Despite the expected cold weather, the Barnelopet will go on. The 6th annual Sons of Norway Barnelopet will be held on Sunday at St. Cloud's Riverside Park.
Spokesman Telly Vollen says they will be shortening some of the distances, due to the cold.
Nick Snavlee says the entire event is free and open to kids ages 3-13. He says even the ski equipment is provided.
Snavlee says they usually get about 150 kids, so if you have ski equipment you're encouraged to bring your own.
Registration is at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, with the event beginning at 1:00 p.m.
