Eagan 17th City in Minnesota to Establish Gay Registry

EAGAN  (AP) - The city of Eagan becomes the 17th community in Minnesota to set up a domestic partner registry.

The City Council voted Tuesday night to create a voluntary registry that will allow same-sex couple to document their relationship with the city. It will cost $25 to register a partnership and another $25 to terminate it.

Minneapolis was the first to create the registry in Minnesota in 1991. St. Paul and Duluth followed in 2009.
