ST. CLOUD - Downtown St. Cloud was filled with art once again as part of the Sizzling Summer Art Crawl. Ellen Nelson helps put on the Art Crawl, and she says everyone enjoys it because it gives people a chance to not only enjoy the art, but meet the artists.

"They get to interact with the artists. They actually have a one-on-one talk with them, find out about their work, where else they can see their work."

There are many artists and musicians along the streets in downtown. Nelson shared some of the highlights that are a must see.

"Down near Herbergers, we have a booth set up, where Elyse Mische is painting big maps of Minnesota."

We decided to check the "Help Paint Minnesota" art booth. There we met Elyse Mische.

"These are Minnesota's. It's a collaborative community project, so people of all ages can stop by, and paint a section" says Mische.

This isn't the first time Mische has done a community painting project. She helped do one last year at an art fair in Wisconsin. She says that event was a success, and she hoping for the same results here in St. Cloud. Overall Mische says the Sizzling Summer Art Crawl is a great event.

"It really gives everyone a chance to be highlighted. A lot of times artists are just doing their art in their own studios, and they don't really get to interact with the community. I think that the Art Crawl is a really good time to get out and show everyone their art, and get everyone excited about art."
