Competition for Sartell – St. Stephen School Board Narrows Monday Night

SARTELL -- An open position on the Sartell School Board has seven candidates vying for the spot.

At Monday night's board meeting the current board members will get the chance to nominate one of the candidates for an in-person interview.

The interviews will happen next Tuesday, August 29th. The seven candidates are:

• Amanda Byrd
• Franco Cusipag
• Thomas Ebnet
• Cindy Fitzhum
• Taryn Gentile
• Joe Hengel 
• Jeremy Snoberger

Whoever is picked from the seven on after the interviews will serve out the term 30-days later.

The spot was opened when former school board chair Michelle Meyer, who’s current term ends in 2018, announced her resignation from the board in June.

Meyer's term ends November 2018.
