MINNEAPOLIS -- A man accused of kidnapping a Coborn's employee in Foley and forcing that employee to drive him to Minneapolis has pleaded guilty.

40-year-old Brandon Stark made his guilty plea in Hennepin County District Court Thursday.

Stark pleaded guilty to four unrelated charges in Hennepin County and also one count of kidnapping from the Benton County incident.

The Hennepin County charges included second degree aggravated robbery, second degree assault, kidnapping and first degree aggravated robbery.

Assistant Benton County Attorney Karl Schmidt says the sentences will run consecutively. Stark is expected to get just over 12 years in prison when he's sentenced March 4th.

Stark was accused of entering the Coborn's store June 12th, 2013 when he grabbed a large kitchen knife from the shelf and forced a manager to drive him to the Twin Cities. Stark threatened to kill a female employee if he didn't comply. The manager eventually dropped Stark off at a location in Minneapolis and returned home. He was not hurt.

Stark had just been released from prison stemming from a 2006 aggravated robbery in Crow Wing County.
