CLEARWATER -- Pass the tarter sauce, the Clearwater American Legion's 60th Annual fish fry is on deck for Sunday.

American Legion Member Joe Ergen has been helping out with the event for nearly 45 years. He says over the years they've added auctions and a meat raffle.

"When it first started out years ago we just had a lot of drawings for prizes, and then we added the auctions, the silent auction and the live auction to and then we added the meat raffle drawing to it and some more food."

The live auction begins at 4:00 p.m. Ergen says many local business put items in the auction such as knives, wildlife prints and tools.

Around 750-1000 people are expected at this year's fish fry. It begins at 11:00 a.m. Tickets are still available at the Clearwater American Legion.
