The Minnesota Wild returned to games for the first time in 2 weeks after postponing 6 games due to Covid-19 protocols. The Wild lost 4-0 at Los Angeles against the Kings Tuesday night. Star Tribune Sports Columnist Jim Souhan joined me on WJON today. He says the Wild looked a bit rusty and are still playing short handed with 5 regulars not in the lineup due to Covid-19.

This week, Seth and Dave discussed whether or not they feel like the roster is a final product after the additions of Andrelton Simmons, Nelson Cruz and Alex Colome, or whether the team might still look to add some impact pieces through free agency if the price is right.

The Twins signed right handed relief pitcher Alex Colome to a 1-year $2.5 Million contract with an option for a 2nd season. Star Tribune Sports Columnist Jim Souhan joined me on WJON today. He says Colome made sense for the Twins when the White Sox chose to go with Liam Hendricks as their closer this season.

Seth and Dave also discuss Eddie Rosario's signing with Cleveland and his apparent beef with Miguel Sano, how much tougher the AL Central will be this season and more.

The Twins agreed to sign 40-year old designated hitter Nelson Cruz to a 1-year $13 Million contract. Star Tribune Sports Columnist Jim Souhan joined me on WJON today. He says the Twins know what to expect from Cruz. He says Cruz will give them professional at-bats, drive in runs, hit in the clutch and be a positive in the club house. Jim says Cruz' age is a concern but with Cruz' hard work he's optimistic he won't hit the wall this season.

There are rumors swirling about the Vikings possibly trading quarterback Kirk Cousins, with the rumors favoring a swap with San Francisco and quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo. Is "Jimmy G" a clear upgrade over Cousins? And which team would be more likely to surrender draft capital in the swap?
