BIG LAKE - Every 54 hours somewhere in this country a police officer dies in the line of duty. A movie about these heroes will be shown on Friday in Big Lake. "Heroes Behind The Badge: Sacrifice and Survival" is a follow-up to the original "Behind The Badge" documentary released in 2012.

Big Lake Police Officer Rich Berg says part of the money raised on Friday night will go toward the non-profit "Concerns Of Police Survivors".

Berg says part of the money raised will also go to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund in Washington, D.C.

Berg says this is the second movie in the series. The first one was shown in Minneapolis, and he wanted to bring this one to greater Minnesota.

Doors at the Big Lake High School Auditorium will open at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, and the movie will start at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $15 and can be bought at the door.
