FOLEY -- Benton County will send off a letter asking Governor Mark Dayton for state help in the wake of the July 11th storm damage.

Benton County Emergency Management Director Jim McDermott says the county has an estimated $180,000 in storm damage. The damage came primarily in the form of washed out township roads and culverts.

McDermott says they needed to meet the threshold of $68,000 to qualify for state help. If approved, the state offers 75% reimbursement for repair costs.
