Bemidji Man Hurt in Stearns County Crash

STEARNS COUNTY - Stearns County Deputies and the Eden Valley Rescue Squad responded to a one vehicle crash on Thursday morning.

The incident happened at about 2:15 a.m. on County Road 9 in Eden Lake Township.

A semi-tractor trailer driven by 48-year-old Michael Gates of Bemidji was traveling north when he lost control on the icy road. The vehicle went into the ditch, sheering off a telephone poll.

Gates was taken to St. Cloud Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
