UNDATED - There's a new scam making the rounds. It's called the "can you hear me" scam. The Better Business Bureau of Minnesota's Dan Hendrickson says it involves a robocall where you're simply asked "can you hear me?"

When you say 'yes', then basically the caller has what they need. They have you saying yes, and that recording potentially could be used to bill you fraudulently for services you don't want or didn't receive.

Some scammers use the recording to add charges to your cell phone bill, saying you agreed to the extra services.

If you get a "can you hear me" call, Hendrickson recommends you just hang up and report it to the BBB and your local authorities.

He also says it's a good idea to double check your phone bill for any extra charges.
