MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann says liberal legal experts and commentators will be just as welcome as conservatives to participate in a series of Constitutional discussions she is hosting for members of Congress.

The Minnesota Republican drew some criticism from legal experts after Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia agreed to appear at the first such event on Jan. 24. But Bachmann says it's not the first time a Supreme Court justice has spoken to members of Congress about legal issues.

Bachmann says Democrats, Republicans and members of both the House and Senate are welcome at the event. She says future planned speakers right now lean conservative but that she's interested in hosting presentations from the other side of the spectrum as well.
