HOLDINGFORD -- Grab the family for a busy weekend going on in Holdingford with their annual “Holdingford Daze” celebration.

The two day festival starts Friday and features every thing from bake sales, antique car shows, and parades guests of all ages can enjoy.

Robb Berscheid is the Vice President of the Holdingford Chamber of Commerce. He says this year's theme has an historical meaning.

"Our theme this year is the Minnesota 13, which was known in this area. The Museum has some history on that if people are interested this weekend and are also selling the recent movie about it as a fundraiser."

Friday's lineup starts at 5:00 p.m. with the Helping Hand Bake Sale on Main Street, the Antique Car and Motorcycle Show, and "Walk for Hope" cancer walk at the high school football field.

On Saturday you can participate in several kids activities, tractor pull, polka mass, and volleyball and bean bag tournaments.

Berscheid says no matter what age you are there is plenty to do for everyone.

"We have minnow races, casting competitions and the pinewood derby and some of those games are for adults as well, you don't just have to watch your kids."

The weekend wraps up with Grand Parade starting at 7:00 p.m. with fireworks at dusk and a street dance featuring Walter's Wheelhouse beginning at 8:30 p.m.
