MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — At least three of the five people who survived an interstate crash that killed three others in Minneapolis are in critical condition.

The eight were in a minivan that overturned on Interstate 94 Sunday afternoon. The State Patrol says occupants of two other vehicles involved in the crash were not injured.

North Memorial Medical Center says a fourth person who survived the crash is in serious condition. The condition of the fifth person is not known.

Patrol Lt. Eric Roeske says there appeared to be minor contact between the vehicles causing the minivan driver to lose control.

Several dozen people came to North Memorial Sunday night to visit the victims. One of the visitors, New Wine Church Pastor Tony Oliha, says the victims had been at church before the crash.
