ST. CLOUD -- Bingo, music, and carnival games are a great way to get the family together.

St. Mary’s Cathedral is throwing their 17th annual block party fundraiser. Committee chair John Munson says the block party is for the whole family.

"There's traditional carnival games for the kids... we also have inflatables, and a used book sale that people usually love that will have kids and adult books too."

Munson says the proceeds go to maintaining the cathedral.

"The proceeds go to the operating budget of the cathedral it's a big building that's expensive to maintain. It is a free event but we do have a raffle for many prizes including cash prizes and we will be selling food and drink"

Munson says the event has something for everyone. The block party is at St. Mary’s Cathedral on Saturday from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Parking is available in the city lot across the street from the cathedral.
