ANNANDALE -- The Department of Natural Resources has confirmed reports of zebra mussels found in two Minnesota lakes, including one in Wright County.

A citizen found a single zebra mussel in Lake John last month and a survey conducted after found a widespread infestation throughout the lake.

As a result, Lake John has been added to the infested waters list.

The DNR reminds lake users to dispose of unused bait in the trash, and clean and drain water from the watercraft after each use before leaving a lake.
