Willingham Goes Deep In Twins Spring Opener
It didn't take long for Josh Willingham to pick up where he left off in 2012. The Twins slugger socked 35 home runs last season, his first with Minnesota.
Willingham hit a two run home run but the Twins gave up a late lead in a 5-3 loss to Baltimore Saturday afternoon in Sarasota.
Newly acquired pitcher Kevin Correia pitched two innings in his Twins debut, giving up one run on two hits. Tyler Robinson (0-1) took the loss for the Twins after giving up a two-run home run to the Orioles' Trayvon Robinson in the bottom of the eighth.
Willingham led the Twins at the plate with a pair of hits including the home run and two runs batted in.
