MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Wally the Beer Man has been selling suds at Minnesota Twins games since they began playing at the Metrodome in 1982, but he won't be at Target Field this season.

Wally McNeil says he has taken a new job as a so-called "celebrity beer-tender" at nearby Sneaky Pete's before and after Twins home games.

In March, a Hennepin County jury acquitted McNeil of selling alcohol to a minor at Target Field in 2010.

He says there are no hard feelings, he's just 76 years old and says it might be time to slow down. Besides, he notes that when it's 95 degrees outside his new job will have air conditioning.
