No one should be without a warm place to sleep in the middle of January. US Housing and Urban Development, or HUD, is asking volunteers to help fight homelessness by volunteering with the national "Let's Make Everybody Count" campaign, which will take place on Wednesday.

This is a one-day count of homeless people and families. Hanna Klimek coordinates the event for the St Cloud area. She says it takes community participation to get an accurate count.

Klimek says it's tough gauging how many people are homeless during winter months, when people will work extra hard to find somewhere to sleep to get out of the cold.
