The Vikings allowed 260 yards rushing against the 49ers in their preseason game at San Francisco Friday night.  Viking linebacker Chad Greenway says the mistakes made are correctable and one preseason game isn't an indication of how the season will go.  The Vikings were the best team against the run in the NFL from 2006-2008.  Pat Williams anchored the defensive line during those seasons and has since retired.

The Vikings started former 6th round pick Letroy Guion at the nose guard position Friday night but he left the game due to an injured knee.  He's expected to be out 1-2 weeks.  Christian Ballard and Brian Robison are also seeing time at defensive tackle for the Vikings.  Kevin Williams didn't play Friday night but the veteran is expected to start at defensive tackle for the Vikings this season.

The Vikings host Buffalo Friday night at 7pm in their 2nd preseason game, pregame on AM 1390-the Fan at 5:00.
