WILLMAR (AP) - Jurors in Kandiyohi County will decide whether a 19-year-old man planned to kill a friend's grandmother.

Brok Junkermeier's trial continued Wednesday at the county courthouse. The jury on Tuesday watched Junkermeier's taped confession to killing 79-year-old church volunteer Lila Warwick after forcing her to write him a check for $1,500.

Junkermeier told investigators he surprised Warwick in her garage near Willmar last summer and slashed her hands. He said he forced her into the house and choked and stabbed her in the basement. Junkermeier has pleaded not guilty to allegedly carrying out the ambush robbery and attack prosecutors say he planned with Warwick's grandson, Robert Warwick, now 18.

Defense attorney Kent Marshall says there's no doubt Junkermeier killed Warwick, but that doesn't mean he's guilty of all charges against him.
