The Sauk Rapids-Rice football team is off to a 2-0 start. AM 1390/93.9 FM Granite City Sports will broadcast their remaining 6 regular season games and will follow them throughout the playoffs. Dave Thomas will handle the play-by-play.

The Storm return key play maker Hudson Omoke and quarterback Spencer Ackerman. Omoke is a senior receiver and defensive back and Ackerman is a junior. Klahake says Omoke is a dynamic player who brings a special dimension to the team's offense.

The Sauk Rapids-Rice Storm will look a lot different in 2023. The Storm had 22 impact seniors graduate in the spring and have 13 seniors on this year's roster. Storm Head Coach Phil Klaphake joined me on WJON.

The Sauk Rapids-Rice Football team will open the season Friday September 1 at home against Irondale. AM 1390/93.9 FM Granite City Sports for a 2nd straight year will be the radio home of the Storm.

The Sauk Rapids-Rice Storm are back with high hopes as their 2022 season is set to start Friday when they host rival Sartell-St. Stephen. Sauk Rapids-Rice head coach and new Activities Director Phillip Klaphake joined me on WJON.

The Sauk Rapids-Rice football team puts their unbeaten 6-0 record on the line tonight when they play at 4-1 Moorhead. Moorhead suffered their first loss of the season last Friday against Elk River 50-46.

The Sauk Rapids-Rice football team is 5-0 and ranked #9 in the State in Class 5A. They host St. Francis tonight at 7 p.m. for Homecoming. The Storm is coming off a 21-6 win over Bemidji last week.

Two of the top teams in the state in Class 4A met at Rocori High School tonight in high school football. 4th ranked Hutchinson defeated 7th ranked Rocori 26-8. The Tigers improve to 4-1 while Rocori drops to 4-2.
