The westside reconstruct project is the major street project that will happen in the city of Sartell starting this spring. Sartell Mayor Ryan Fitzthum joined me on WJON. He says this has been planned for about a decade and will take place beginning as early as late March.
The east side of St. Cloud has been the center of this summer's road construction projects. St. Cloud Public Services Director Tracy Hodel joined me on WJON for an update on the progress of these projects and more.
Sartell doesn't have any major road projects planned for 2024 but Mayor Ryan Fitzthum indicates 2025 will be a different story. He says in 2025 they are planning the westside reconstruct which is the area by the high school football field, Dezurik area, and this includes some of the oldest roads and infrastructure in the community.

Sartell is finishing up some road work projects this summer/fall. One of which is the celebration alleyway project and the other bigger project is the east side streets project. Work on the east side streets project has been hampered by large amounts of rain.

Jostling has begun among Minnesota cities, counties and state government agencies to get road projects, nature trails, amphitheaters, prison repairs and much more into a public-works borrowing plan.
