The national average price of gasoline increased 14 cents per gallon in July, which was the largest monthly increase since February. The average price of fuel in July was $3.58 per gallon, the third-highest average on record for the month.
Gas prices in Minnesota have eased a bit. Increased supplies have caused prices to drop after hitting an all-time high last week. The travel group AAA says the average gas price peaked at $4.28 a gallon last week statewide, but dropped to $4.05 Monday.
Gas prices are still going up. Some gas stations in the St. Cloud metro area raised the price of a gallon of regular unleaded to $4.29 a gallon this (Thursday) morning.

Gas prices in the St. Cloud metro area continue to fall. Some area gas stations are selling a gallon of regular unleaded for $3.19 today (Tuesday). That's the lowest price we've seen since December of last year.
