He says they haven't seen a surge of Covid-19 patients at St. Cloud Hospital and within CentraCare that may have been a reflection of holiday gatherings. He says this is a good sign but Covid-19 still exists in this community and is still spreading in this community.

He says St. Cloud Hospital is still beyond full but not worse than they were last week. Morris says the most critically ill patients in Central Minnesota are being hospitalized at St. Cloud Hospital and at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.

Morris says due to Covid-19 infections and quarantines of staff they are at the point where they will be challenged to meet the level of care needed.

He says all of their locations within CentraCare are stressed and are seeing increases in Covid-19 positive cases in their facilities including St. Cloud Hospital. He says they have added 14 ICU beds at St. Cloud Hospital out of need and can add more if need be.
