St. Cloud School District 742 has hired more than 50 new employees this summer in preparation for the new school year. That according to St. Cloud School Superintendent Laurie Putnam.
Administrators from District 742 will welcome new families to the district by knocking on their door with a swag bag of goodies, a welcome letter, and a book for elementary school students or affirmation cards for the upper grades.
St. Cloud School District 742 is hosting a job fair Tuesday September 28th from 4-6 p.m. at the Quarryview Education Center. St. Cloud School Board Chair Shannon Haws joined me on WJON today. She says there is a labor shortage right now and they are looking for full and part time employees.
The St. Cloud Rotary Club has been involved in a number of major initiatives in recent years and their latest one is helping to get more kids access to preschool.
