The St. Cloud City Council will consider amending its taxi cab ordinance at a future public hearing that would allow for "designated drivers." "Designated Drivers" are becoming a popular way for people who have been drinking to get them and their cars home safely.
The St. Cloud Planning Commission is holding a public input session tomorrow night on the city's Capital Improvement Program. The Planning Commission will take the comments and incorporate them into their recommendations to the Mayor for the 2012 CIP.
St. Cloud residents will see a new city website later today. City officials will launch the new site after 5:00 p.m. Mayor Dave Kleis says they wanted to make the site more user friendly.
The city of St. Cloud has released the results of their summer-long alcohol and cigarette compliance checks. Between June 16th and August 19th, two businesses sold alcohol to an undercover minor. Eight businesses sold tobacco to an underage person.
