CentraCare Spokesman Dr. George Morris joined me on WJON today. He says research is now indicating that a booster shot for those who have had the Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccine and possibly the Johnson & Johnson vaccine won't likely need a booster shot this fall.

Technology mainly seen in movies, is now being used inside CentraCare.

The COVID-19 Delta variant/mutation is the latest variant that is a concern. Dr. Thomas Math from CentraCare joined me on WJON today. He says the Delta variant that originated in India isn't prevalent in the United State yet but Math says it is "just a matter of time" before it is.

CentraCare Spokesman Dr. George Morris joined me on WJON today. He says they have 22 positive Covid-19 patients with 4 of them in the ICU/Critical Care unit at St. Cloud Hospital. Morris says they are down from 25 positive Covid-19 patients last week with 5 in the ICU.

He says they have 25 positive COVID-19 patients with less than 5 in the ICU/Critical Care unit. Morris says St. Cloud Hospital is back to being busy with "regular care".

With trees budding, grasses growing and pollen flying allergy sufferers are feeling the effects that come with seasonal allergies.

CentraCare spokesman Dr. George Morris joined me on WJON today. He says the interest in getting the COVID-19 vaccine has waned a bit but they are still vaccinating people. He says people can't request the type of vaccine they want between the Pfizer, Moderna or Johnson & Johnson yet but they are clear about what vaccine they will be issuing each day.

With kids 12 and older eligible to get their COVID-19 vaccines, CentraCare is offering vaccinations at pediatric clinics rather than at mass vaccinations sites.

Despite the end of the statewide mask mandate, CentraCare says they will continue to require masks.

He says he is pleased to say that they have dropped again with the amount of positive Covid-19 cases at St. Cloud Hospital and within CentraCare. The number as of Wednesday this week is 42 patients with 8 of those in the ICU/critical care unit.
