He says positive Covid-19 cases within CentraCare and St. Cloud hospital are down from around 70 last week to just over 50 this week. He says the amount of people in their ICU/critical care unit are about the same this week as opposed to last week, at around 20.

Each week on WJON I check in with CentraCare spokesman Dr. George Morris for the latest information on Covid-19 locally. Dr. Morris says they have more than 70 positive Covid-19 cases at St. Cloud Hospital with around 20 people in the ICU/critical care unit. Those numbers are up slightly from the week before when Morris reported around 50 positive cases and 20 in the ICU/critical care unit.

CentraCare spokesman Dr. George Morris joined me on WJON today. He says positive Covid-19 hospitalizations are down from the 60+ range to 50+ this week at St. Cloud Hospital and within CentraCare. He says about 40% of those hospitalized are in their ICU/Critical care unit.

April is Donate Life Month and local health officials are hoping to spark the conversation about donation and transplantation.

He says they have more than 60 after having around 50 the week before. He says a quarter of those individuals are in the ICU/Critical Care unit.

He says positive Covid-19 cases within CentraCare and St. Cloud Hospital has risen to 50-plus peole with around 10-12 people in the ICU. He says the spread is happening most often in young people, those in the 16-25 age group due to sports and group activities.

CentraCare has reached a milestone in the fight against COVID-19.

Starting Thursday CentraCare will reopen its Urgent Care location in south St. Cloud.

Health officials says there is some hesitation about getting the COVID vaccine among expecting mothers and women wanting to get pregnant.
