The Timberwolves held off Sacramento to win their season opener 92-80 Friday night.  J.J. Barea led the Wolves with 21 points and both Andrei Kirilenko and Brandon Roy added 10 points apiece.  The Wolves led by as many as 17 in the first half but allowed for the Kings to come back and lead by 5 in the 3rd quarter.

Minnesota shot 37 percent from the field for the game while the Kings shot just 36 percent.  The Wolves got 9 points apiece from Chase Budinger, Greg Stiemsma, Nikola Pekovic and Luke Ridnour.  Minnesota will play at Toronto at 5pm Sunday.
