Storms Lead to Large Barn Fire Near Eden Valley

EDEN LAKE TOWNSHIP - A barn fire started near Eden Valley after a lightning strike on Saturday night.

The fire was called in at about 8:10 p.m. The barn was located at the Stanley Peglow residence at 19434 228th Avenue, about five miles north of Eden Valley.

Authorities say the barn was hit by lightning and was fully engulfed in fire when they arrived.

No animals were kept in the barn. The fire was put out by the Eden Lake and Chain of Lakes Fire Departments.
