WAITE PARK -- Nitrates are the most common contaminants in Minnesota's groundwater and experts strongly recommend you have your water tested if you drink from a private well.

The Stearns County Soil and Water Conservation District is offering a free water testing clinic tomorrow from 4:00-to-7:00 p.m. at the Marketplace Mall next to K-Mart in Waite Park.

To collect a sample, let the tap run for 5-to-10 minutes, collect it in a clean plastic or glass container and keep the water cool.

Samples should be collected no more than a day before the test.
