Stearns County Selects Four Candidates for Administrator Role

ST. CLOUD (WJON News) -- Stearns County has announced four finalists who will be considered for the position of the next county administrator.

County commissioners met last week to whittle down a list of 10 semi-finalists to the four finalists who will interview for the position.

The finalists looking to replace the retiring Mike Williams include Goodhue County Administrator Scott Arneson, Meeker County Administrator Andrew Letson, Human Resources Director and former St. Cloud City Administrator Matthew Staehling, and White Bear Township Administrator Patrick Christopherson.

The finalists will now interview for the position on July 15th.

A GMP Consultants spokesman says there were 32 applications from a total of 16 states.

Using March 2019 data from the Social Security Administration, Stacker compiled a list of the most popular names in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C., according to their 2018 SSA rankings. The top five boy names and top five girl names are listed for each state, as well as the number of babies born in 2018 with that name. Historically common names like Michael only made the top five in three states, while the less common name Harper ranks in the top five for 22 states.
