ST. JOSEPH -- The St. Joseph City Council unanimously voted to change their scheduled bimonthly meeting time last night (Thursday).

The council will now hold their meeting at 6:00 p.m. on the first and third Thursdays of each month. Previously the council met at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday nights.

Mayor Rick Shultz says the council did a survey of other area cities and found there was a trend to meet earlier in the day.

He also says a big benefit of the time change is that people will be able to see results sooner.  The time change goes into affect immediately.

Their next council meeting is scheduled for January 2nd.
