ST. CLOUD - A church near downtown St. Cloud will hold it's last service at that location tomorrow (Sunday).

The First United Methodist Church at 302 Fifth Avenue South has a service scheduled for 9:30 a.m.  Immediately following the service congregation members will remove the pews, and bring them to their new church at 1107 Pine Cone Road in Sartell.  Flower petals will be handed out so the congregation can drop them in the aisles on their way out the building.

The First United Methodist Church congregation began to explore the possibility of moving when parking, accessibility and building issues started becoming problems.  That led to a vote to move in November of 2007.

The church has been in the downtown southside neighborhood for over 150 years.

The stained glass from the church has been installed in the new church.

Their first service at the new location will be next Sunday.  The new church cost about $4.3 million to build.
