Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued For Central Minnesota

ST. CLOUD -- A severe thunderstorm warning was issued for parts of Southeastern Stearns County.

The National Weather Service had the warning from about 1:30 p.m. until just after 2:30 p.m. this (Friday) afternoon.

The storm was located near Cold Spring moving southeast 20 mph. Other area's in the storms path include St. Martin, Paynesville, Richmond, Roscoe, Kimball, Watkins and Eden Valley.

The storm was capable of producing half dollar size hail and 60 mph winds. Cold Spring reported inch and three quarter sized hail. Paynesville reported inch-sized hail.

Northwest Todd County, Northeastern Douglas County, Meeker County and Kandiyohi County were also in a severe thunderstorm warning until 3:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

One inch hail was reported in Long Prairie and Eden Valley.
